A lovely unique cut & polished Aegasteroceras ammonite from Connesby Quarry, Scunthorpe. It has beautiful crystals in the cavitiies. It is unique in that not all the ammonite has cavities but the centre has been preserved and it looks as if there is an ammonite inside another ammonite. Overall it is 13cm x10.5cm. Diameter of ammonite 10cm. 522grams 200 Million Years. The quarry closed many years ago. Repaired but not noticable.
